According to a recent Picayune article, the Eanes Bond Oversight Committee unanimously approved artificial turf at West Ridge Middle School and accepted, apparently without question, consultant statements that the artificial field would cost the same as grass and would not exceed the $785,000 in bond money allocated for the school’s track and field project.

The success of Westlake High School’s Project Graduation 2011 not only belongs to the hundreds of volunteers who put it together, but to all of the parents, community leaders, businesses and students in the Eanes community who have worked for many years to change the community norms to reflect a positive trend in alcohol/drug-free celebrations.
