• Blair Jones of West Lake Hills, was recently named to Tarleton State University’s Distinguished Students list. Jones is enrolled at the university’s Stephenville campus.

Students on the list include freshman and sophomore students who have a minimum 3.25 grade-point ratio. All must be in good standing with the university.

• Rollingwood City Council will meet at 7 p.m. July 21 at City Hall, 403 Nixon Drive.

• The Eanes school board will meet for a special study session in preparation for a November bond package Monday at 6:30 p.m. at district administration building, 601 Camp Craft Road.

The next monthly meeting of the Eanes school board is July 28 at 7 p.m in the same location.

• The Westlake Rotary Club meets Friday at 7:30 a.m. at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 5455 Bee Cave Road. Cost is $5 or $15 for a full meal.

• Multi-Grammy nominee and saxophonist Dave Koz and acclaimed singer-songwriter/guitarist Jonathan Butler will be be performing material from their upcoming studio albums July 23 at Riverbend Center, 4214 Capital of Texas Highway North.

Drummer, percussionist and vocalist Sheila E., who has toured with artists such as Prince, Cyndi Lauper and Ringo Starr, will be featured as special guest. Grammy-winning vocalist Peabo Bryson will also perform on select dates.

The concert is part of the “Dave Koz And Jonathan Butler Together Again 2010” summer tour.

• The ongoing Voices in the Village concert series continues Friday afternoon when The Fire Ants perform on the deck beside Hang Town Grill in the Village at Westlake shopping center. Sponsored by the Village at Westlake and the Eanes Education Foundation, the series provides student musicians the opportunity to perform for an audience.

South of Center will wrap up the series on July 28. Hang Town Grill and Thai Spice Cafe are both donating 15 percent of the evening’s sales to the Eanes Education Foundation.

• Westlake High School freshman Sarah Nichols plays the lead in the Zilker Theatre Productions’ “Annie” on Thursday and Saturday evenings at Zilker Theatre through the closing the production on Aug. 14.

Nichols and local actress Jordan Morgan alternate playing the spunky, depression-era orphan determined to find the parents that abandoned her years before in New York City. Morgan performs on Friday and Sunday evenings.

Performances start at dusk, and admission is free. Parking cost is $3 per vehicle.
