Three recent Westlake graduates will cap their prep career at tonight’s Central Texas All-Star Game at Dell Diamond.
2010 graduates Miles Hanson, Jon Darilek and Davis Breedlove will suit up for the South team, which is coached by Brad Harmon of Llano and Jacob Anderson of Lanier. That trio helped Westlake win the 2010 District 25-5A title and reach the second round of the playoffs.
Hanson, a starting pitcher and first baseman for Westlake, posted a team-best ERA of 1.69 in the regular season. He had a 5-2 record while fanning 29 with seven walks. Hanson also hit .385 with 17 RBIs.
Darilek hit .266 with 15 runs scored and 13 stolen bases. The slick-fielding shortstop also had a fielding percentage of .935. Double-play partner Davis Breedlove hit .390 with 15 RBIs and scored 18 runs. The second baseman had a fielding percentage of .928.
The game starts at 6 p.m.
