Early votes place challengers ahead in Eanes school board race, Rollingwood City Council too close to call

Early voting results are in from Travis County for the contested seats on the Eanes school board and Rollingwood City Council. At 8 p.m. this evening, Place 6 challengr Colleen Jones was leading the race with 1,207 votes (63 percent) against incumbent Mike Monnig with 707 early votes (37 percent.) Place 5 incumbent James Kallison and challenger Sharman Reed were running neck in neck in early voting, with Reed pulling in 51 percent with 943 votes and Kallison pulling in 49 percent with 920 votes.
Unopposed incumbent for Place 7, Ellen Balthazar currently has 1,264 votes.
The alderman race in Rollingwood, is too close to call from early voting activity. Shanthi Jayakumar currently leads with 27 percent of early votes with 173 votes, Sara Hutson has 26 percent with 165 votes, Keli Carlton has 24 percent with 150 votes and Barry Bone has 23 percent with 145 votes.
Unopposed candidate for mayor, Bill Hamilton currently has 224 votes.
