Westbank voters will go to the polls on May 8 to decide four area elections: the Eanes school baord, Rollingwood City Council, Westbank Community Library District Board of Directors and Lost Creek Municipal Utility District Board of Directors.

Early voting for the elections runs through Tuesday.

In the Eanes school board, Rollingwood City Council and LC MUD board elections, early voting will be at locations throughout Travis County, including Randall, 3300 Bee Cave Road. Hours are 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and Sunday from noon-6 p.m. (Visit www.co.travis.tx.us for all polling places by precinct).

The Eanes school board election includes two races. The Place 5 race features interim appointee James (Kal) Kallison and Sharman Reed. The Place 6 race features incumbent Mike Monnig and Dr. Colleen Jones. Place 7 incumbent Ellen Balthazar is unopposed for re-election.

The Rollingwood race features an at-large City Council election in which the top two vote-getters win the two positions up for grabs. They are incumbent Alderwoman Shanthi Jayakumar, Sara Hutson, Kelli Carlton and Barry Bone. Incumbent Alderman Brian Nalle opted not to seek re-election, and Bill Hamilton is running unopposed for mayor.

On Election Day, voting is from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. in both elections. In Rollingwood, the polling place is City Hall, 403 Nixon Drive. In the Eanes school board election, voters must vote at their precinct location. Visit www.eanesisd.net for precinct polling locations.

Early voting in the Westbank Community Library District Board election will be held at both the Westbank Community Library, 1309 Westbank Drive, and Laura’s Library, 9411 Bee Cave Road. Election Day voting will also be at those locations from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.

Four candidates will vie for three seats in this at-large election in which the top 3 candidates garnering votes are declared the winners. Incumbents Dick Brown, Jim Bannerot and Lyle Thormann will seek their seats again along with challenger Alan Roddy.

In the at-large Lost Creek Municipal Utility District Board of Directors election, four candidates are vying for the three seats. They are Preston Brooks Doege, Steve Veregge, David Lehtonen and Eric Castro.

On Election Day, Lost Creek voters in Precinct 317 cast their ballots at the Eanes school district Administration Building, 601 Camp Craft Road, and the polling place for Precinct 330 voters is Valley View Elementary School, 1201 South Capital of Texas Highway.
