Westlake’s baseball team capped the Border Olympics tournament in Laredo with a 10-1 victory over Eagle Pass. Chris Watkins pitched the complete game for the win. The Chaps’ offense was led by Miles Hanson, Lewis Guilbeau, Alexei Nunez and Davis Breedlove.

The Chaps (4-1) finished with a 3-1 tournament record and just missed the semifinal round by virtue of a tiebreaker with Del Rio team who also posted a 3-1 record but beat Westlake 5-0. Westlake defeated Laredo Nixon 7-5 and Laredo Cigarroa 7-3.
