Eanes school district campuses are sending students home early today as snow continues to fall across the Westbank. District officials sent notification shortly after noon that students would be sent home beginning at 1:30 p.m.
Bus service will begin at the district’s elementary campuses shortly after 1:30 p.m. Middle schools will let out at approximately 2:30 p.m. and Westlake High School will close at 3 p.m.
School will begin two hours late tomorrow.
St. Michael’s Catholic Academy closed the campus, with plans for a late start Wednesday.
Travis County remains under a winter weather advisory until midnight tonight, with snow forecast this afternoon. Snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected, and temperatures will fall into the lower 30s this evening, according to the National Weather Service.
