Westlake High School’s Hyline Dance Team recently returned from a four-day trip to New York City, where they enjoyed Broadway shows and danced in two professional master classes.

The team and its chaperones saw “West Side Story” and “Mary Poppins” on consecutive nights and were treated to a 10-minute question-and-answer session with principal actors from “West Side Story” after the show. The weekend also included museum visits and shopping. The team traditionally takes a trip every other year to see professional dancers in a larger city and study with cutting-edge dance instructors.
