Mariana Sims and Kaylin Terry turned this week’s Lakeway Lollapalooza golf tournament at Live Oak Golf Course into a personal duel for gold while helping the Chaps roll to the team title.

Sims ended the two-round affair Monday and Tuesday with a first-place score of 75-77 152, which placed her three strokes ahead of Terry (74-81 155). As a team, Westlake’s Blue team shot a 309-315 624 to win the tournament by a whopping 48 strokes over host Lake Travis (344-328 672).

Westlake Blue’s Taylor Moreno (79-79 158) tied for fourth, and teammate Haley Haught (81-78 159) finished seventh.

Carly Berryhill (97-85 182) completed Westlake Blue’s team score.

Paced by a 12th-place score of 83-84 167 from Christine Campbell, Westlake White placed 10th with a 375-374 749.
