Hannah Coley exploded for 21 points as Westlake (15-4) claimed its first tournament title of the season with a 51-24 win over Rockport-Fulton Saturday at the Pride of Texas tournament in Corpus Christi.

All of Coley’s points came from behind the three-point line, including three consecutive treys during a decisive 10-0 Chap run in the second quarter.

“We knocked down some shots, and that was the big difference because it opened up everything else for us,” said Westlake coach Keith Smith told the Corpus-Christi Caller-Times.

Coley provided an outside compliment to teammate Courtney Duever, who earned the tournament’s Most Valuable Player award.
Guard Cherrell Mays and forward Jaime Grace received spots on the all-tournament team.
