Westlake’s athletic department had a busy morning on Wednesday’s fall signing day.

Nine Westlake seniors signed letters of intent to play collegiate athletics. Boys basketball Gus Leeper signed with the University of Arkansas-Little Rock, while teammate Cody Doolin signed with the University of San Francisco.

All-state volleyball player Sara Shaw signed with Southern California University, golfer Kaylin Terry inked with Baylor University, and Alex Ellis signed a scholarship to play for the men’s golf team at the College of Charleston.

Softball player Mackenzie Whyte signed with Boise State University, and girls basketball player Courtney Duever signed with Central Arkansas State.

Tennis players Alex Durham and Russell Bader signed with the University of Mississippi and Penn State University, respectively.
