After a wild final night of the regular season, Westlake emerged with a District 25-5A championship and the top Division I seed without taking a snap.

The Chaps, who routed Akins last night, will face San Antonio Madison at a time and place to be determined in next week’s playoff opener. Madison finished as the second Division I seed in District 26-5A after falling to San Antonio Reagan Friday, while Westlake claimed the top Division I seed in 25-5A after Bowie’s win over previously unbeaten Bastrop and Anderson’s upset of Austin High.

Because both Bastrop and Westlake finished with a 6-1 record in district play, the two teams will share the District 25-5A title.

Bastrop will enter the first round against New Braunfels as the top Division II seed, and Bowie will face San Antonio Roosevelt as the second DI seed.

Pflugerville, the No. 2 DII seed, will face 26-5A champion San Antonio Reagan.
