In a dress rehearsal for next month’s postseason meets, both Westlake’s boys and girls finished in the top five at the 74-team Texas Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association North swim meet in Dallas Nov. 20-21.

Westlake’s football team will play its first game in the new Heroes Stadium when it faces San Antonio Clark for the Class 5A Region IV Division I title Saturday at 2 p.m.

The Rollingwood City Council voted unanimously last week to raise water rates by 8 percent and wastewater rates by 6 percent, with the possibility of more to come, at last week’s regularly scheduled meeting.

Eanes school board members approved a 2009 District Improvement Plan on Nov. 18 and listened to a report by human resources head Lester Wolff that showed a district enrollment increase of 177 students this year.
