I live on Reveille Rd, too. I did speak in favor of the sidewalk at a board meeting. Though I missed the Council Meeting, I am 100% in favor of a sidewalk. Reveille Road is a basically straight, very narrow, heavily used street. How about a poll of the number of Westlake Hills residents use our street as pedestrians, joggers, dog walkers, pushing strollers, walking home from school, walking to the corner store? From the unobstructed view on my front porch, I can see many, many people – daily, and in some cases, hourly, using Reveille Rd.

In addition to the crosswalk connected to an overgrown drainage ditch … there should be a fence in front of Eanes Elementary as well (according the 2005 District Safety and Security Report) but oops, District spent the bond money on artificial turf and High-Def video equipment (to film football games) instead. Safety will have to wait, I’m afraid.

How about connecting the Eanes Elementary cross walk to something other than an overgrown drainage ditch. Could use a sidewalk there.
