Travis County Sheriff’s deputies responded a one car accident at the 3900 block of Westlake Drive early Tuesday morning after a 17-year-old driver lost control of his Audi A4 sedan and hit a metal power pole.
“Speed is a factor,” said Travis County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Roger Wade.
A passerby helped the driver out of the wrecked car and three teenage passengers, two male and one female, all got out of the car on his or her own. The driver was transported by helicopter to Brackenridge University Medical Center, police say.
Wade said that the driver has not been charged with anything but that police are still investigating the accident.
