Five cars were recently burglarized in the Westbank, three on May 26 and two on May 30.

Burglars rummaged through three cars in West Lake Hills, on Wildcat Hollow, Westwood Terrace and Westlake Drive, some time between the night of May 25 and the next morning.

A wallet, three knives, a pair of headphones and sample packs of seizure and heartburn prescription medicine were missing from the vehicles.

Two cars in Rollingwood were also burglarized on May 30, but nothing of significant value was taken, Rollingwood Police Department Chief Dayne Pryor said.

All of the vehicles were unlocked at the time of burglary.

West Lake Hills Police Department Chief Cliff Spratlan said residents are encouraging crime by leaving vehicle doors unlocked and creating a target-rich environment for burglars.

“When it’s this easy, they come back,” Spratlan said.
