Three vehicles were vandalized during a Rollingwood City Council meeting on May 20.
Vehicles belonging to Mayor Dale Dingley and City Administrator Vicky Rudy were keyed, and Rollingwood Police Chief Dayne Pryor’s truck was found with offensive words written on it.
Pryor said this was not the first time vehicles had been vandalized during a Council meeting.
Rudy’s vehicle was keyed in April, and similar situations have occurred in past years, Pryor said.
“It’s a recurring theme,” he said.
Pryor said the similar timing of these crimes, during City Council meetings, means the crimes are most likely planned.
“It doesn’t appear to be a random act,” he said.
The charge for these crimes varies, ranging from criminal mischief to retaliation against a public servant, a felony, if the crime was politically motivated.
Police currently have no suspects.
“We are currently reviewing evidence,” Pryor said.
