With Westlake’s first spring football in 20 years less than a month away, the Chaps’ revamped coaching staff took a step toward completion with the arrival of four new assistants.

A walk-off home run by Westlake shortstop Mackenzie Whyte downed Austin High Friday and helped the Chaps seize sole possession of third place in the District 25-5A race.
