Members of the Eanes school district School Safety, Health and Advisory Council have organized a fun run for March 7 to raise money to purchase medical equipment and supplies for district campuses.
The fun run, along with the annual Healthy Living Fair, will be held at Westlake High School. The run will begin at 8:30 a.m. and initiate and conclude in the Chap Stadium.
The fun run is a first for the district SSHAC, and organizers hope to raise substantial money to help with the replacement of things like emergency crises kits and batteries for automated external defibrillators located on campuses throughout the district.
Anyone interested in participating can register and pay online through the Eanes Web site at Eanes.k12.tx.us by clicking on the Community Education Department. Registration for the run includes a T-shirt and costs $15 per adult and $12 for students. Students signing up with an adult can register for $10.
