• Al Bennett, Westlake: Veteran guided young team to district crown, state title match. 

First team:  

• S: Elly Barrett, 12, 6-0, Westlake

   State’s leader in assists also had 108 kills, 49 blocks.

• OH: Sara Shaw, 11, 6-2, Westlake

    Led district with 5.18 kills a game, added 4.26 digs and 69 aces.

• OH: Jessica Hall, 10, 5-11, Bowie

    Jumping-jack youngster led Dawgs with 2.65 kills per game.

• MB: Sarabeth Bratton, 12, 6-0, Austin High

   Veteran stalwart had 2.81 kills per game, played best in big games.

• MB: Abby Howden, 12, 5-11, Westlake

   Versatile captain had 2.98 kills per game, 59 blocks.

• L: Tessa Hunt, 10, 5-8, Westlake

   varsity newcomer led district with 4.61 digs a game.

Second team:  

• S: Chelsea Pace, 12, 5-6, Bowie

   Team captain helped Bulldogs secure second place in 25-5A.

• OH: Alex Rowland, 12, 5-11, Austin High

   Fast swing helped district’s second-leading OH average 3.20 kills a game.

• OH: Shelbi Stewart, 12, 5-11, Pflugerville

   Midwestern State recruit had 2.5 kills, ranked second in 25-5A in aces.

• MB: Neka Enemkpali, 10, 6-3, Pflugerville

   Dominant defensive presence at net had league-high in blocks.

• MB: Ella Praisner, 10, 5-11, Westlake

   Offensive-minded attacker had .520 kill percentage, 59 blocks.

• L: Courtney Umstadt, 12, 5-6, Austin High

   Intense DS had 3.10 digs a game, keyed stout Maroon defense.
