Rundown: Until the second half of last week’s 37-28 win over Bastrop, the Maroons struggled to run the ball. They had 203 yards rushing in the half, which makes up almost 20 percent of their season total. … QB Jacob Morgan leads District 25-5A with 1,740 yards passing and 16 TDs. … Defense has allowed 28 points per district game. … Austin High lost its first 16 games against Westlake before winning the first of back-to-back games in 2006. … Blake also leads Austin High in rushing with 447 yards on 47 attempts. Most of his yards come on direct snaps when lined up shotgun behind center or on end arounds. … The Chaps held Blake in check during last season’s game.
